Eliza McKee is a PhD candidate in history at Queen's University, Belfast. Her thesis examines non-elite clothing acquisition in Ireland, c. 1850-1914. An aspect of her Ph.D investigates clothing obtained by the poorer classes from non-fixed traders including pedlars, hawkers, credit drapers, itinerant communities and market traders.

 

Lea Leboissetier is a PhD candidate in history in the Laboratoire de  Recherche Historique Rhône-Alpes (LARHRA) at l’Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon. Her work examines peddling and itinerant trading in Britain, c.1860-1940. She explores the evolution of the trade, through themes such as labour migrations and mobility, makeshifts economy or niche markets.
